a little bit about me
I'm Lauren, an Alexandria, Virginia based family photographer and teacher! On weekdays, you can find me in a classroom teaching kindergarten and first grade English language learners.
As an educator of young children, I understand patience and flexibility, and let's be honest... embracing a little chaos. It's important to me to create an environment in which children feel comfortable enough to be themselves and have fun during their session.

I've loved capturing moments in time for as long as I can remember. My parents bought me my first camera and I would walk around aimlessly, taking thousands of pictures. I'm usually ten steps behind everyone else because I've noticed the way the golden hour light is leaking through the leaves in a tree or the way someone's nose crinkles as they laugh.
I'm here to help preserve those special moments for you!
